What if the CW or the Disney channel decided to get into the zombie series business? It looks like we’re about to find out based on the trailer for the new Walking Dead spin-off called The Walking Dead: World Beyond.
If you’ve been wondering if the franchise is on its last legs, this watered-down, teen-focused series seems to be final confirmation that The Walking Dead is, well, pretty much walking dead. Although we haven’t seen a full episode yet, so far, it looks like lightweight stuff — think The Hunger Games but with zombies.
Hell, even the zombies look cleaner and less menacing than the original series (see image above).
The only upside is that the series appears poised to uncover the mystery of the special forces crew lurking on the margins of the other, much better looking, spin-off, Fear The Walking Dead.
