A funny thing is happening in the world of TV: fan favorite shows are getting second lives via streaming services, and fans love it. The latest beneficiary of this trend is rich, high concept science fiction series The Expanse.

Originally launched on the SyFy channel, the series is now moving to Amazon Prime Video for its Season 4 installment. The trailer for that season just dropped and you can see it below.

What’s cool about this series resurrection trend, which has benefitted shows like Arrested Development, Designated Survivor, Lucifer, and Veronica Mars on streaming networks including Netflix, Hulu, and now Amazon Prime Video.

So far, the dynamic has had mixed results (Designated Survivor, starring Kiefer Sutherland, was just cancelled again by Netflix following its run on ABC), but in the short term, fans are getting what they want.

If you’ve never heard of The Expanse and want to know why you might want to enter its universe, super geek and film director filmed this handy explainer of the series and its general plot.

Season 4 of The Expanse will premiere at its new home on December 13.
