This! This is what Deep Fakes were made for! This is the one we’ve been waiting for. The brilliant folks over at The Fakening have taken a classic Star Trek episode (“The Cage”) and cleverly cast Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk in the starring roles.
Not only are the Deep Fakes flawless, but even the character choices fit: Bezos as the nefarious system trying to exert control and Musk as the genius wild card seeing through the illusions the fool most. Also, the fact that these are both the two leading commercial space CEOs makes this even sweeter. Now if we could just get an entire episode like this we’d be in sci-fi heaven.
