It turns out that the rumored Avengers: Doomsday trailer that was accurately predicted to drop on Oct. 23 was actually a Major League Baseball (MLB) cross-promotion that includes some juicy new footage. Released as a joint YouTube exclusive between the MLB and Marvel, the one-minute video splices clips of some of the top athletes in the league and new sequences from the upcoming movie.

As for new footage, the video starts out with Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal) and The Thing aka Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) showing up for a baseball game in uniforms and interacting with fans. We also see Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) controlling the mutant-hunting Sentinels, as well as two sequences of Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) interacting with Thor (Chris Hemsworth). There’s an additional sequence featuring Ant-Man interacting with Captain America/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu).

On the sports front, the trailer-meets-baseball promo also delivers a few made-for-this-video sequences with Freddie Freeman of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Jacob Misiorowski of the Milwaukee Brewers, Randy Arozarena of the Seattle Mariners, Junior Caminero of the Tampa Bay Rays, and Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies.

Thankfully, the video doesn’t seem to give away much, so it makes for a great teaser ahead of the release of Avengers: Doomsday on Dec. 18.
