Disney held back a bit at last month’s San Diego Comic-Con, but now the studio is using its D23 fan-focused weekend event to officially launch Season 2 of Star Wars: Ahsoka. Once again starring Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series takes the story into a time of all-out war with the Imperial Remnant, led by Lars Mikkelsen (Frankenstein, The Killing) in the role of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Also returning is Mary Elizabeth Winstead in her role as General Hera Syndulla, who will reportedly have a larger role this season.
Most fans have a good memory of the show, even though reviews were mixed for Season 1. But if anything is clear, the series definitely looks better visually, and seems more prepared to go a little darker thematically than the first installment. Darth Vader lore lovers will also be happy to know that Hayden Christensen will also be back as Ahsoka’s Jedi Master Anakin Skywalker.

Unfortunately, Star Wars fans won’t get their fix anytime soon, as Ahsoka Season 2 won’t hit Disney Plus until January 20, 2027.
