Japan is obsessed with the notion of one day bringing the anime of Gundam to real life and now Toyota is showing us that we’re nearly there in the real world.
This week, the Japanese company showed off the latest version of its T-HR3, which is seen being controlled by a human wearing a HTC Vive VR headset.
According to one of the engineers behind the project, the upgraded version of the robot has enhanced finger moments that allow it to more accurate mimic the finger movements of its human puppet master. See it in action in the video above.
