Star Trek fans are getting their wish: Anson Mount and crew are returning to continue the journey of Captain Pike in a new series called Star Trek: Short Treks. The six-episode series will also feature Spock (Ethan Peck) and Number One (Rebecca Romijn), reprising their roles from Star Trek: Discovery.
So while the Star Trek: Discovery crew is SPOILER ALERT exploring space in the far, far future, Captain Pike and crew will continue the original Star Trek storyline. Based on the trailer, it seems we’re also getting a return of the dreaded tribbles.
The series will debut this fall on CBS All Access.
